I study a variety of research topics. Most of them center around power. In my research, I try to give a more complete picture of the way in which having (versus lacking) power affects people's behavior and cognition. I was awarded an NWO VENI-grant (until May 2013) to study the link between power and immorality. I am also interested in studying political psychology, moral psychology, gender research, and other fields.

IMPORTANT: Regarding my former supervisor Stapel: all work authored and co-authored by Stapel has been investigated. All my work listed here has been cleared from any suspicion of data-fraud. For details, see:
